During the 17 days the show was open I played sound effect records through two open windows of the gallery space. The sounds were as various as bird songs, gun shots, party atmospheres, weather, demonstrations or traffic...

The point of departure for the making of Im Hause was a german LP record with sound effects Geraüsche in Stereo. The side 1 of this record was called Im Hause and contained thirty sounds from “at home” such as working in the kitchen, pooring water, dishwasher, drill, musical clocks etc... I “postsynchronized” these sounds with my own video recordings. The soundtrack remained unedited.

MIAMI was especially made for the exhibition Postproduction. It was shot just outside of the gallery and in the kiosk on the other side of the street. It presents a woman played by a professional actress, and a shopkeeper played by the shopkeeper himself. The woman enters the kiosk, buys a bottle of water and leaves. The dialog is postsynchronized in german. The rest of the soundtrack is exclusively made out of prerecorded sounds. The video was sold in the kiosk.

A jukebox in the museum gives the “viewer” the possibility to listen to recordings of my private life. The approximately 700 tracks are done over a month and are sortered out in 56 categories (56 CDs) as for example: cooking, alone at home, television, bedroom, sleeping, on the telephone, chess, bathroom, brushing teeth, urinating, zoo, city exteriors, cemetary, fleamarket, art fair, after party art fair, cocktail bar, club, restaurants, vietnamese late night restaurant, transport in car, metro, tram, lecture, canteen, computer work, music practice and many more...
